Benefits

For smallpox lesions that are densely clustered with no gaps, resembling silkworm eggs; or for cases where the lesions appear after just one day of fever; or for cases where the lesions erupt all at once.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 zhong of good wine, decoct until reduced to 5 fen, let it cool, then take half a zhan and mix it with half a zhan of boiled water. Administer it slowly and frequently; finish the entire dose within 2 days. Then decoct it again with water and administer it slowly as before. This dosage is for a five-year-old child; increase the amount by one qian for each additional year of age. After taking the medicine, the rash will become more pronounced and the fever will subside. If the child needs tonification, provide it.

Note

After taking the medicine, the child must not consume any other foods; they may only drink breast milk. Older children may only eat plain rice porridge.
