Drug Formulation

1 liang of raw dried Rehmannia, 1 liang of cooked dried Rehmannia (washed and roasted), 1 liang of Liu Jinu (roots removed),1 liang of Ze Lan leaves, 1 liang of Ephedra (with nodes intact), 1 liang of dried Pueraria root, 1 liang of Artemisia annua, 1 liang of Ku Geng, 1 liang of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, 1 liang of Tianxian藤, 1 liang of Rehmannia scutellaria (stir-fried), half a liang of Ginseng, half a liang of Gentiana macrophylla, half a liang of softshell turtle shell, and half a liang of Astragalus membranaceus.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. For each dose, take 3 qian of the mixture, add 1 zhan of water, 1 fen of wine, and one piece of pork shank bone (roasted until charred), then divide into 4 doses. Add 7 cun each of peach and willow twigs, and 5 apricot kernels (peeled, tips removed, and crushed), and decoct until reduced to 7 fen. Strain and take while warm. Adding half a roasted black plum is especially beneficial.
