Drug Formulation

4 liang of Huai Shengdi, 4 liang of Shu Di, 4 liang of Shan Yao, 3 liang of Mu Dan Pi, 3 liang of Ze Xie, 3 liang of Poria (peeled), 3 liang of Chuan Huanglian (stir-fried with wine), 3 liang of Huai Hua (mixed with human milk and steamed), 3 liang of Shan Zhu Yu (steamed with wine, pitted), and 3 liang of Chuan Da Huang (steamed with wine 9 times).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, fill a male pig’s large intestine with the mixture, and tie both ends shut with thread; take 3 sheng of glutinous rice, soak it in water until thoroughly saturated, then drain the water. Place the medicine-filled intestine inside a jar containing the glutinous rice and steam for the duration of one incense stick. Pound the medicine-filled intestine into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Take 80 pills per dose on an empty stomach with salted water.
