Drug Formulation

1 Xuan Zhou papaya (a large Du papaya may also be used), 1 liang of Notopterygium, 2 liang of Angelica pubescens, and half a liang of processed Aconite root (all ground into a powder).

Processing

Remove the seeds from the wood apple, cut off the top, and fill the hollow with well-cured mugwort, packing it tightly. Replace the top and secure it with a bamboo skewer. Steam until thoroughly soft. Add the powdered Qianghuo, Duhuo, and processed Aconite. First, pound the wood apple until mushy, then add the powdered herbs and pound into a paste. Form into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 30–50 pills per dose, washed down with warm wine or salted broth before meals.
