Chinese Name : 椒目饮

Drug Formulation

Atractylodes macrocephala, Gentiana macrophylla, pepper seeds, licorice, Elsholtzia ciliata, and Akebia trifoliata—each in equal parts.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a powder.

Benefits

For children with weakness and swelling following dysentery, accompanied by swelling of the head and face, or fever.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 qian of the mixture each time; decoct in 1 zhan of water until reduced to 3 fen; strain out the residue; and take before meals.

Note

Avoid eating snails and carp, as both can cause swelling.
