Drug Formulation

1 liang of soapberry (peeled, string removed, and roasted), 5 qian of dried silkworm, 5 qian of white alum, and 1 liang of Achyranthes root juice (extracted from roots and leaves harvested between May and June, sun-dried, ground into powder, and stored in a sealed jar).

Instructions for Use

For throat conditions, blow the powder through a tube several times to expel thick phlegm; for severe cases, repeat several times. For phlegm rising due to stroke, take about 1 qian mixed with water to induce the expulsion of phlegm and saliva, then continue with other medications; when mixed with vinegar, it may be applied to external swellings.
