Drug Formulation
20 liang of white sand honey, 10 liang of glycyrrhiza (calcined 7 times, crushed, and mixed with water), 6 liang of orpiment (water-washed), 3 liang of selected lotus seeds (soaked in urine, crushed into a powder), 3 qian of southern frankincense, 3 qian of angelica root, 2 qian of blackfish bone, 1 qian of realgar (placed in a small bowl over the mouth of a bottle and fumigated until dry),1 qian of musk, 5 fen of white cloves (straight ones), and 1 zi of mercury oxide.

Processing
Place white sand honey in a sand or stone vessel; simmer over low heat to skim off the foam; add glycyrrhiza, followed by orpiment; stir with a willow branch; then add the remaining ingredients until the mixture is sticky to the touch; form into pills the size of a chicken’s head.
