Drug Formulation

Qinjiao (stem removed) 1 liang, Peach Kernel (soaked in hot water, skin and tip removed) 1 liang, Soapberry Seed (charred until carbonized) 1 liang, Angelica Root Tips (soaked in wine) 5 qian, Alisma 5 qian, Zhi Shi (stir-fried with wheat bran until golden) 5 qian, Atractylodes 5 qian, Sanguisorba 3 qian.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly with a paste of peach kernels, and form into pills using a paste made from boiled water and flour. The pills should be the size of a chicken’s head, smooth in texture, and dried in an oven.

Instructions for Use

Take 50–70 pills per dose on an empty stomach with plain hot water; wait a short while and follow with a light, nutritious meal.

Note

Avoid raw and cold foods, hard foods, cold water, and cold dishes; also avoid damp noodles, alcohol, and spicy, pungent, or hot foods, as well as heavily seasoned dishes.
