Drug Formulation

Bashuang (remove skin and membrane; lightly remove oil) 1.5 qian, raw Aconite (sliced; lightly stir-fried until dry) 2 qian, soapberry (stir-fried until slightly charred) 2 qian, mercury oxide 1 qian, cloves 3 qian, frankincense 3 qian, turmeric 3 qian, cinnabar 2 qian (for coating).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with vinegar-soaked steamed buns to form pills the size of radish seeds, and coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

For gradual elimination, take 5–7 pills per dose; for rapid elimination, take 10–20 pills per dose. Take with boiling water, decocted herbal tea, or a decoction of ginger, vinegar, tea, honey, anise, and Chinese magnolia bark as a vehicle. If diarrhea is profuse and unstoppable, drink 1–2 sips of cold water to stop it, as this formula is activated by heat and stopped by cold.For treating distension caused by stagnation of dampness and qi, first boil red dates until tender and extract about 1 qian of the flesh. Then take 7–8 pills (or 10–20 pills for severe cases), grind them into a paste with the date flesh, and swallow with hot rice wine mixed with a small amount of white sugar; for treating pain caused by parasitic infestation, also take this mixture, but swallow it with clear broth.
