5 fen of Buddha’s Ear Herb, 5 fen of Tussilago flower, 3 fen of Goose-Tube Stone, 3 fen of Realgar.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

First, spread cooked mugwort on a sheet of paper; divide the above herbs into portions of 3 fen each; use a reed tube to create a pipe; burn it to produce smoke and inhale it into the mouth; sip warm tea 1–2 times; use each 1-fen portion for 3–4 nights of inhalation. Stop inhalation as soon as the cough subsides slightly.

Note

This formula should not be used in cases of nosebleeds or heat-induced coughs.
