Drug Formulation

7 liang of Da Fu Zi (soaked in children’s urine, sliced), 3 liang of Mao Shan Cang Zhu (peeled, soaked in rice washing water, stir-fried in sesame oil),Ginseng 3 liang, Poria 3 liang, Thick Phellodendron Bark 3 liang (each prepared with child’s urine, breast milk, and salt water—1 liang each), Deer Antlers 1 pair (large ones, roasted with butter), Star Anise (seeds removed) 1 liang, Epimedium (thorns removed, mixed with sheep fat, stir-fried) 1 liang, Alisma 1 liang, Cnidium Monnieri (stir-fried with wine) 1 liang,White lotus stamen (washed in wine) 1 liang, Agarwood (ground separately; do not expose to fire) 1 liang, Schisandra berries 1 liang, Golden bell fruit (i.e., Sichuan melia fruit, boiled in wine, with skin and pit removed) 3 liang, Phoenix-eye herb 1 liang (i.e., the seed found within the leaves of the Chinese hackberry tree, shaped like a phoenix’s eye, hence the name; if unavailable, substitute with Chinese hackberry root bark).
