Drug Formulation

2 blue lotus flowers, 4 liang of ground blue indigo, 1.5 liang of ground borneol, 1 liang of ground gypsum,musk (ground) 1.5 liang, sodium silicate (ground) 2 liang, sodium carbonate (ground) 2 liang, gypsum (ground) 1 liang, sodium sulfate (ground) 1 liang, mistletoe 5 liang, lotus seed grass 3 liang, white poplar bark (chopped) 2 liang (one formula omits blue lotus flowers and uses salt green instead).

Processing

Using 3 sheng of water, first decoct the Mulberry Parasite, Lotus Seed Grass, and White Poplar Bark; strain out the residue. Decoct again, then add the Magnolia Bark, Water-Coagulating Stone, and Potassium Carbonate. Reduce the heat and simmer gently until the mixture solidifies; remove it, dry in the sun, and grind finely. Add the remaining herbs and grind again until uniform; store in an airtight container.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian each time; grind thoroughly with raw sesame oil, then add five spoonfuls of clear water and grind again until it resembles porridge. Apply a small amount to the crown of the head, including the fontanelle, Baihui acupoint, and both temples, massaging the area several hundred times.
