Drug Formulation

Saposhnikovia root (stem removed) 1 liang, Forsythia fruit 1 liang, Ephedra (knots removed) 1 liang, Coptis rhizome (wine-fried) 1 liang,Phellodendron (wine-fried) 5 qian, Chuanxiong 1 liang, Sichuan Angelica (wine-washed) 1 liang, Red Peony Root (wine-soaked) 1 liang, Peppermint Leaves 1 liang, Gypsum 1 liang, Platycodon 1 liang, Polygonum Multiflorum 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia (wine-washed) 1 liang,Qianghuo 1 liang, Xixin (half the amount) 1 liang, Chrysanthemum flowers 1 liang, Tianma 1 liang, Scutellaria 1 liang 5 qian, Atractylodes 2 qian 5 fen, Schizonepeta spikes 2 qian 5 fen, Gardenia seeds 7 qian 5 fen, Talc 5 liang (ground separately), Licorice (roasted) 2 liang, Silkworm pupae (roasted) 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a marble, and coat them with cinnabar and gold leaf.
