Drug Formulation

1 piece of Aconite Root (roasted, with skin and pith removed), 2 liang of Angelica Root (soaked in wine overnight), 2 liang of Gastrodia Rhizome (soaked in wine), 2 liang of Achyranthes Root (soaked in wine),2 liang of Ziziphus jujuba seeds (roasted), 2 liang of Rehmannia glutinosa (soaked in wine), 2 liang of Saposhnikovia divaricata (with branches removed), 4 liang of Carica papaya, half a liang of Frankincense (ground separately), 1 fen of Musk (ground separately), 1 liang of whole scorpion (detoxified), 1 liang of Aquilaria agallocha, 1 liang of Myrrh (ground separately), 1 liang of Notopterygium incisum, and 1 liang of Licorice (roasted).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 3 jin of raw Rehmannia root, wash it thoroughly, and grind it into a paste. Add 4 sheng of ash-free wine and simmer until it becomes a thick paste. Mix the powdered ingredients evenly into this paste, pound it until firm, and form 10 pills from each liang.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose, chew thoroughly, and swallow with wine before bedtime. Since rehmannia is abundant in spring and summer but may be unavailable in winter, simply refine honey into pills the size of a paulownia seed. Take 50 pills per dose, swallowing them with warm salted water or warm wine.
