Formulas Name : Shenqiang Powder

Chinese Name : 神芎散

Drug Formulation

2 qian of Chuanxiong, 2 qian of Yujin, equal parts each of Schizonepeta spikelets, mint leaves, and red beans.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, add 2 qian of Xiao (a type of baking powder) to a bowl, and mix thoroughly.

Benefits

For wind-heat ascending to the head, causing dizziness and pain in the head and eyes; nasal congestion and blurred vision due to upward obstruction; and a dull, aching pain in the teeth.

Instructions for Use

Administer 2–3 scoops (about the size of an ear) into the nostrils. If the effect is slow, increase the dosage; in severe cases, administer at night as well.
