Drug Formulation

Atractylodes macrocephala (fresh) 3 liang (soaked in rice water overnight, sun-dried, then stir-fried in a copper pot with a sheet of paper between the herb and the pan), Poria cocos (hard variety, peeled) 1 liang, lotus seed (with seed core removed) 1 liang 5 qian, Guang Chenpi (with white pith removed) 1 liang, barley malt (roasted to remove husks, ground into powder) 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder, mix thoroughly, add 2 qian of white sugar, and store in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use

Keep it near a gentle heat; take 2–3 spoonfuls mixed with boiling water on an empty stomach or some time after a meal.

Note

Most suitable for the elderly. Avoid anger.
