Processing

Place all ingredients in an earthenware pot, boil in water for one hour, then let cool. First, remove the gallnuts and discard them; then rinse out the cinnabar. Take the sulfur, place it on a sheet of rice paper, and let it dry by absorbing moisture from the ash. Roll it into a ball, wrap it in a lotus leaf, place it on the ground, and calcine over a high flame. When the medicine turns red, immediately remove it from the fire. Let it sit overnight, then grind it to a very fine powder. Mix with rice paste to form pills the size of soapberry seeds, and air-dry in the shade.
