Drug Formulation

Zhongru (crushed to the size of rice grains) 3 liang, Mulberry Bark 3 liang, Ophiopogon Tuber (core removed) 3 liang, White Quartz (crushed to the size of rice grains) 2 liang, Ginseng (root base removed) 2 liang, Schisandra Berry (sorted) 2 liang, Tussilago Flower (stems removed) 2 liang, Cinnamon Bark (coarse outer bark removed) 2 liang, Aster Root (washed to remove soil) 2 liang.

Processing

Except for white quartz and calcite, grind all the other ingredients into a coarse powder, then mix them thoroughly with the white quartz and calcite.

Benefits

Deficiency of lung qi, coughing with shortness of breath, chest fullness and pressure, obstruction of the throat and pharynx, shortness of breath, wheezing, and fatigue; incessant spitting; chills rising from the back; a sensation of holding frost or snow in the mouth; voiceless speech; in severe cases, spitting blood with a foul, fishy odor; dry retching and restlessness; hearing the sound of wind and rain; withered skin and hair; pale complexion.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian per dose. Boil with 2 zhan of water, adding 5 slices of fresh ginger, 1 jujube (split open), and about 30 grains of japonica rice, until reduced to 1 zhan. Strain through cotton to remove the residue, and take warm after meals.
