Drug Formulation

Thistle 1 liang, Coptis 2 fen (stems removed), Scutellaria 1 liang, Gardenia seeds 3 liang, ash from tangled hair 1 fen, Perilla stems and leaves half a liang, donkey-hide gelatin 2 liang (pounded into pieces, stir-fried until yellow and dry), licorice 3 fen (lightly roasted until reddish, coarsely chopped), and antelope horn shavings 3 fen.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose. Decoct in 1 da zan of water until reduced to 5 fen. Strain out the residue, then add half a he of fresh Rehmannia root juice and half a he of fresh ginger juice. Mix thoroughly and take as needed, regardless of the time of day. Continue until cured.
