Formulas Name : Tong Shen Wan
Chinese Name : 通神丸
Drug Formulation
2 liang of Pinellia tuber, 4 liang of Pinellia rhizome (finely chopped and stir-fried in a copper vessel), 1 liang of cinnabar (used as a coating), 1 dog liver, 10 large soapberries, 2 liang of alum (calcined).

Processing
Add 1 large bowl of water and boil the ingredients until the liquid has evaporated. Remove the dog’s liver and other ingredients; use only the soapberries, dry them in the sun, and grind into a powder. Form into pills the size of mung beans using rice vinegar paste, and coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use
Take 30–40 pills per dose on an empty stomach with rice water, once daily; adjust the dosage for children according to their age.
Note
Pregnant women should not take this.
