Drug Formulation
3 qian of musk, 3 qian of dragon’s blood, 3 qian of toad venom, 3 qian of mercury oxide, 3 qian of realgar, 1 qian of camphor, and 1 pair of centipedes (used whole).

Processing
Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder and mix with refined honey to form pills.

Instructions for Use
If the ulcer has a head, use a needle to lance it open; when a small amount of blood emerges, place a dose of the medicine the size of a millet seed into the lanced opening. Cover the area with a paper flower moistened with saliva; the ulcer will heal within a quarter of an hour.If headless sores appear in both armpits—which are known as “hidden boils” (commonly called “shua hu”)—use a needle to puncture the white skin creases at the base of both thumbs as described above, then seal the area with the medicine.
Note
Avoid chicken, goose, alcohol, wet noodles, and all other heat-inducing foods.
