Drug Formulation

5 jin of white willow bark, 5 jin of Chinese parasol tree bark, 1 jin of akebia stem, half a jin of trichosanthes fruit peel, 1 jin of soapberry, and 3 liang of ground wood fragrant resin.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Boil with 8 dou of water to reduce the liquid to 2 dou; strain out the residue. Transfer the liquid to a small pot, add the ground Wood Fragrance, and simmer until reduced to 7 sheng. Strain again, then transfer to another small pot. Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes as thick as molasses. Stop stirring once it can be rolled into pills, then wrap them in fine silk and store.

Instructions for Use

Apply the ointment to a piece of silk and apply it to the affected area daily until the area is completely healed.
