Instructions for Use

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix the powder with 2 sheng of rice vinegar until well blended. Simmer in a silver vessel over low heat until it reaches the consistency of thick syrup. Spread it out to cool, then store in a porcelain box. For each dose, take an amount roughly the size of a marble, dissolve it in one zhan of a child’s urine, and simmer together until reduced to 7 parts of the original volume. Add half a shaozi of vinegar, then simmer for another 5–7 boils. Take while warm; if symptoms persist, repeat the dose half a day later.
