Chinese Name : 乌神散

Drug Formulation

1 crucian carp (large, gutted), 10 jujubes (pitted), 1 qian of bismuth sulfate (finely ground; place inside the jujubes, then insert the jujubes into the fish’s abdomen), 1 qian of dragon bone (ground separately), half a liang of borneol (ground separately), and half a qian of musk (ground separately).

Processing

Take the three ingredients—the crucian carp and the others—wrap them in 3–5 layers of paper, seal them with salt and mud, leaving a small opening at the top. Burn them over charcoal until blue smoke emerges; remove them, cover with soil overnight, then remove the mud. Combine the dragon bone and the other three ingredients and grind them together into an extremely fine powder.

Instructions for Use

After each meal, rinse the mouth with warm rice water and apply a small amount of the medicine to the affected area of the gums; use three times a day.
