Drug Formulation

1 liang of sulfur (ground), 1 liang of realgar (ground, decocted in water until it forms a paste), 1 raw papaya (peeled, cut off the top, seeds and pulp completely removed; fill with the ground sulfur and realgar powders, replace the top, secure with a bamboo skewer, steam for one fu-shi, then grind into a paste), 3 cardamom pods (shelled, roasted),3 betel nuts (raw, coarsely chopped), half li of Angelica sinensis (sliced, roasted), half li of Dendrobium (roots removed), half li of Achyranthes root (soaked in wine, sliced, roasted), half li of Aconite root (roasted until cracked, skin and pith removed), half li of Morinda officinalis (core removed),Cistanche (soaked in wine, sliced, and dried) half liang, Fennel seeds (roasted) half liang, Wood Fragrance half liang, Agarwood (chopped) half liang, Poria (with black skin removed) 1 fen, Beijing Curcuma (roasted, chopped) 1 fen,Dried Ginger (roasted) 1 fen, Cloves 1 fen, Musk 1 fen, Frankincense (ground separately) 1 fen, Ginseng 1 fen, Cinnamon (with coarse bark removed) 1 fen, Piper longum 1 fen, Asafoetida (mixed with flour dissolved in vinegar to form cakes, then roasted until dry) 1 fen.

Processing

Except for the papaya paste, grind the remaining ingredients into a powder, mix with the papaya paste, and form into pills the size of a tung tree seed.
