Drug Formulation

Imported anise (soaked in a child’s urine for 3 days, changing the urine once daily; after 3 days, strain and stir-fry) 2 liang; Po Gu Zhi (soaked as above) 2 liang; Jin Ling Zi (stir-fried) 2 liang; Du Zhong (processed with ginger, stir-fried, peeled, and fibers removed) 2 liang; Wu Zhu Yu (soaked in boiling water 7 times, then stir-fried) 2 liang;Sichuan pepper (select those with closed pods; boil in wine, strain, and stir-fry) 2 liang,Shechuangzi (roasted) 2 liang, Tangerine Seeds (roasted; select only small, firm ones; avoid large ones, as they may be mandarin orange seeds) 2 liang, Corydalis (roasted) 2 liang, Southern Frankincense 1 liang (not exposed to fire), Sichuan Aconite 3 pieces (large ones; processed, peel and navel removed), Fenugreek 3 liang (roasted).

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with wine paste to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
