Formulas Name : Xiao Zhushan Pill

Chinese Name : 小朱砂丸

Drug Formulation

1 qian of cinnabar (finely ground), 30 croton seeds (with skin and membrane removed, oil completely extracted), 2 da qian of pinellia (washed 7 times in boiling water, ground into a powder, and stir-fried), and 5 almonds (with skin and tips removed).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, then form into pills the size of mung beans using a wheat flour paste.

For childhood convulsions and phlegm-induced obstruction.

Instructions for Use

For a 2-year-old, administer only 1 pill, taken with a decoction of Schizonepeta and mint. For a 3-year-old, add 1 pill; for a 5-year-old, administer 3 pills.
