Coptis rhizome (Huanglian) half liang, Phellodendron bark (Huangbai) half liang, Rhubarb (Dahuang) half liang, Euphorbia (Gansui) half liang, Datura flower (Yuanhua; stir-fried with vinegar) half liang, Euphorbia (Daji) half liang, Pharbitis root (Qianniu; 4 liang, ground into powder) 2 liang (all the above ground into a fine powder), Mercury oxide (Qingfen) 2 qian, Indigo powder (Qingdai) 1 liang.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, then mix with water to form pills the size of small beans.

Instructions for Use
Initial dose: 10 pills; increase by 10 pills with each subsequent dose. Take three times daily: on an empty stomach, at noon, and before bedtime. Continue until bowel movements become free and complete. Thereafter, take 15–20 pills daily; after a few days, the patient may resume eating. For chronic conditions that have not yet resolved, increase the dose again to induce bowel movements; after bowel movements occur, resume the regular dosage, adjusting as needed until the illness is resolved; discontinue treatment once the symptoms subside.For children, the pills should be about the size of a millet seed or a hemp seed. To treat convulsions and heat accumulation that has not been expelled, a regular dose of 10 pills is required.
Note
Do not administer to patients with diarrhea.
