Drug Formulation
3 jin of soapberry (burn 2 jin to ash, place in a new porcelain jar, cover the opening with a porcelain saucer to prevent smoke from escaping; after removing the saucer, cover the jar’s opening with two sheets of paper moistened with water; stop when the paper is dry and the jar is cool), 6 liang of Polygonum multiflorum (coarse skin removed), 3 liang of ipecac root powder (half black, half white), and 3 liang of peppermint leaves (soil removed).

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Separately, take 1 jin of soapberry, soak it in hot water until soft, remove the skin and fibrous strands, and use only the pulp. Mix with 2 sheng of wine and knead into a thick juice. Strain through a clean cloth to remove the dregs, add 1 spoonful of flour, and simmer together into a paste. Mix in the four powdered ingredients from above and roll into pills the size of small beans.

Instructions for Use
Take 20 pills per dose. After a meal, take them with a decoction of fresh ginger; gradually increase the dose to 30 pills, once daily.
