Drug Formulation

2 liang cinnabar (ground), half a liang ginseng, half a liang borax (ground), half a liang pinellia (ground into a powder, formed into cakes with ginger juice, and sun-dried), half a liang realgar (ground), 1.5 liang ophiopogon (core removed, roasted), 1 liang licorice (raw, coarsely chopped),1 liang of black plum pulp, 3 fen of red Poria (black skin removed), 3 fen of white plum pulp, 1 fen of musk (ground), 1 fen of borneol (ground), 1 fen of Zixue.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, form into pills the size of a chicken’s head using lactose, and coat with gold leaf.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill after meals or before bedtime; chew it while sipping water boiled with Perilla frutescens; allowing it to dissolve in the mouth and swallowing the saliva is also acceptable.
