Drug Formulation

3 liang of Angelica sinensis, 8 liang of raw Rehmannia glutinosa, 3 liang of white peony root, 3 liang of astragalus, 4 liang of stir-fried Atractylodes macrocephala, 3 liang of Poria cocos, 4 liang of donkey-hide gelatin, 2 liang of mugwort leaves, 4 liang of Eucommia ulmoides, and 3 liang of processed Cyperus rotundus.

Processing

Slice the raw Rehmannia root thinly, soak it in boiling water until thoroughly saturated, mix it with the other herbs, sun-dry the mixture, and grind it into a fine powder. Take 2 liang of white honey, melt it over low heat until liquid, then stir in the melted donkey-hide gelatin and shape the mixture into pills the size of mung beans; this yields approximately 29 liang of pills.

Take 2 qian twice daily, swallowing with boiling water.
