Drug Formulation

Pinellia (boiled thoroughly in water, strained, coarsely chopped, dried, and coarsely ground to the size of mung beans; sift to remove fine powder) 2 liang; Ginger (thoroughly washed, wiped dry, with skin intact) 2 liang; Thin-barked Cinnamon (coarse bark removed, coarsely ground) 3 qian.

Processing

Cut the fresh ginger into small cubes the size of mung beans, mix thoroughly with the Pinellia, place in a small wok, and stir-fry over low heat until fragrant, cooked through, and slightly dry. Only then add the cassia bark, stir-fry again until evenly mixed and a faint fragrance emerges. Spread the mixture on rice paper laid on the ground to remove the heat toxicity. Allow to cool, then lightly sift off the black, charred residue.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose, add 1 zhan of water and 2 slices of fresh ginger, decoct until reduced to 7 fen, and take a small amount on an empty stomach, sipping slowly.
