Drug Formulation

Cimicifuga (Shengma) 4 liang, Ligusticum (Chuanxiong) 4 liang, Angelica (Danggui) 4 liang, Licorice (Gancao) 3 qian, Gastrodia (Tianma) 5 qian, Pueraria (Gan Ge) 5 qian.

Processing

Chop the ingredients into pieces the size of beans. Add 5 ladles of east-flowing water and simmer in a sandpot. Place 4 liang of cinnabar in a fine silk bag, suspend it inside the pot, cover it with a plate, and simmer over alternating high and low heat. As the water evaporates, add more; maintain a gentle simmer until the mixture is nearly dry. Remove, let cool, and store.

Instructions for Use

Take 6–7 fen per dose, add 3 fen of roasted glutinous rice, grind them together into a fine powder, and take it with 1 spoon of white honey mixed with hot water.
