Drug Formulation
Kudzu Root (soaked thoroughly in snow water or autumn dew, air-dried, and coarsely chopped) 1 liang; Poria (black skin removed, sliced thinly, soaked in running water overnight, then chopped; mixed with Cimicifuga leaves and steamed for one day, remove leaves and sun-dry; if leaves are unavailable, Cimicifuga root may be used instead) 5 qian; Alisma (coarsely chopped, soaked in wine overnight, then sun-dried) 5 qian;Poria (finely pounded, washed with water, membrane removed, clarified, and sun-dried) 5 qian, Talc (select pure white talc; scrape clean with a bamboo knife, grind to a powder; for every liang of talc, boil with 2 liang of Moutan bark for 3 incense sticks’ worth of time; remove the Moutan bark, rinse with east-flowing water, and sun-dry) 7 qian,Gypsum (calcined until red, ground to a fine powder; washed with licorice water, clarified, sun-dried, and ground again) 1 liang, Donkey-hide gelatin 5 qian, Lycium bark (washed with east-flowing water, brushed to remove soil, pounded to remove the core, soaked in licorice water overnight, and baked dry), Gardenia fruit (remove the shell to obtain the kernel; soak in licorice water overnight, remove and sun-dry, then pound and sift into a powder) 5 qian.

Instructions for Use
Combine the above ingredients with 4 sheng of water; first decoct the 8 ingredients, reduce to 1.5 sheng, strain out the residue, add donkey-hide gelatin and melt it completely, then divide into 2 warm doses.
