Drug Formulation

Oyster Shell (calcined and re-boiled) 2 qian, Night-Bright Sand (ground separately) 2 qian, pork liver 1 liang (use raw; if pork is not consumed, white goat liver may be substituted).

Processing

Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Use a bamboo knife to cut the liver into two slices; spread the mixture over one slice, then place the other slice on top to form a sandwich. Wrap it in rice paper and secure it with hemp twine to prevent the mixture from leaking out. Place one large bowl of rice-washing water in a porcelain jar (avoid using iron utensils), add the liver and mixture, and simmer until reduced to about half a bowl.

Instructions for Use

Before going to bed, consume the entire liver preparation, including the broth and fat.
