Drug Formulation

Myrrh 2 liang, whole scorpions 2 liang (soaked in wine, then baked dry), Notopterygium root 2 liang, tiger bone 2 liang (fried in butter), Angelica pubescens 2 liang, Saposhnikovia root 2 liang (stem removed), Ligusticum wallichii 2 liang, Angelica sinensis 2 liang, coix seed 2 liang, Pinellia tuber (processed with ginger) 2 liang,1 liang Sichuan Aconite (roasted, peel and tip removed), 1 liang Gastrodia, 1 liang Trifoliate Orange Peel (white pith removed, stir-fried with wheat bran), 1 liang Xianhu, 1 liang Red Dried Tangerine Peel, 1 liang Asarum, 1 liang Cinnabar (ground separately to form a coating), half a liang White Atractylodes, 1 qian Musk (ground separately), half a qian Borneol (ground separately).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; form into pills the size of a longan using glutinous rice paste; coat with cinnabar.
