Drug Formulation

1 liang of Sichuan fritillary bulb, 3 qian of processed white aconite, 3 qian of realgar, 1 liang of Indian turmeric, 3 qian of Fangfeng, 3 qian of Qianghuo, 3 qian of Tianma, 2 liang of aged bile, 3 qian of processed silkworm pupae, 3 qian of whole scorpions (washed in wine), 8 qian of snake-containing stone (calcined), 3 qian of cinnabar,1 qian 5 fen of Borneol, 1 qian 5 fen of Musk, 1 qian of Western Ox Bile.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Decoct 1 liang of licorice and 2 liang of Uncaria in water to make a concentrated decoction. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of Sichuan pepper. Seal each pill with a wax coating. Each box contains 5 pills.

Instructions for Use

For children: 1 pill for 1-year-olds, 2 pills for 2-year-olds, and 3 pills for 3–4-year-olds. Crush the pills and dissolve them in Gou Teng Mai Ya Decoction; breast milk or boiled water may also be used. Alternatively, grind the pills into a powder and apply it to the nipple for the child to suckle. For abdominal pain, crush 1 pill and apply it to the navel.
