Instructions for Use

Place the leaves in a large earthenware jar; place a fire beneath it to warm the contents. Have the patient lie among the leaves; after a short while, they should begin to sweat. While steaming, have the patient eat rice little by little; stop as soon as they feel slightly fatigued. Then cover them with a quilt to protect them from the draft, and give them wine mixed with scallions and fermented soybeans; soybean wine is also acceptable. Continue until the condition is cured.
