Drug Formulation

Cloves 2 qian and a half, Frankincense 2 qian and a half, Agarwood 2 qian and a half, Olibanum 2 qian and a half,2.5 qian of musk, 2.5 qian of Jing Sanling (roasted), 2.5 qian of Guang Meng (roasted), 2.5 qian of black pharbitis (lightly roasted), 2.5 qian of Coptis, 2.5 qian of Leiwan (roasted), 2.5 qian of He Shi (roasted), 2.5 qian of Hu Huanglian,Scutellaria baicalensis 2.5 qian, Rheum palmatum (baked) 2.5 qian, Citrus reticulata peel 2.5 qian, Citrus aurantium peel 2.5 qian, Realgar 2.5 qian, Bear bile 2.5 qian, Fried licorice root 2.5 qian, Red adzuki beans 360 grains (boiled), White cloves (straight-tipped) 360, Mercury oxide 4 qian, Croton seeds 7.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Boil the adzuki beans until soft, then mash them into a paste. Mix this with buckwheat flour to form a paste, then shape into 11 pills. Coat with cinnabar and air-dry in the shade.

Before taking, soak one pill in water overnight until dissolved, then swallow it. The appearance of a bowel movement confirms its efficacy; do not take another dose.
