Drug Formulation

4 cun of white-flowered snake (softened with ghee), 2 golden-headed centipedes (calcined), 4 whole insects (soaked in wine, fried, then with heads and legs removed), 1 dew-covered bee hive, 1 liang of turtle shell (fried with vinegar), 1 qian of realgar, 1 qian of flying yellow丹, 5 fen of cinnabar,5 fen of Sophora japonica flowers, 5 fen of fine pre-rain tea, 3 fen of musk, 5 fen of child’s tea.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with millet decoction to form pills the size of mung beans, and coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

For healthy adults, take 5–10 pills each time with plain water, twice daily. Reduce the dose appropriately for those with weak constitutions.

Note

Contraindicated for pregnant women; use with caution in those with weak stomachs.
