Drug Formulation

Black ginseng (select moist specimens, wash, and dry in an oven) 8 liang, Sanguisorba officinalis (remove shoots) 8 liang, Sichuan Aconite (roasted, remove skin and pith) 8 liang, Frankincense 8 liang, Cloves 8 liang, Tiantai Wuyao 4 liang, Incense (ground separately with frankincense resin) 4 liang, Realgar (ground and sifted) 4 liang,Black Rhinoceros Horn (chopped and ground separately into a fine powder) 4 liang, Borneol (ground separately) 4 liang, Cinnabar (ground and sifted) 4 liang, Natural Copper (heated until red-hot, then quenched in vinegar) 4 liang, Musk (ground separately) 4 liang, Gastrodia (stems removed) 1 jin, Pearl Powder (finely ground) 2 liang (if unavailable, substitute with dragon’s teeth).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and knead with refined honey to form pills the size of a paper mulberry seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill at a time, dissolved in warm wine, at any time of day. For severe cases, take for one month to achieve full recovery; for mild cases, recovery occurs in half a month; for new onset, 5–7 doses are sufficient for relief.

Note

After taking the pill, stay in a draft-free place and cover yourself with clothing and blankets to induce sweating.
