Drug Formulation

2 qian of Codonopsis, 5 qian of Atractylodes macrocephala, 5 qian of Poria, 1 qian 5 fen of fried licorice (fried with ginger juice), 5 qian of raw Rehmannia, 5 qian of white peony root (fried with ginger juice), 5 qian of prepared Rehmannia, 5 qian of fried Angelica sinensis, 5 qian of fried Ligusticum chuanxiong, 5 fen of agarwood, 2 qian 5 fen of Guangxi frankincense, 5 qian of processed Cyperus rotundus, 1 qian 5 fen of Amomum villosum,Wuyao 5 qian, stir-fried Guangpi 5 qian, Chuan Niuxi 2 qian, Amber 2 qian 5 fen, Scutellaria 2 qian, Perilla Leaf 2 qian 5 fen, Ejiao 2 qian 5 fen, Yi Mu Gao 1 liang 2 qian.

Processing

Grind all the herbs listed above—except for Ejiao and Yi Mu Gao—into a fine powder. Melt the Ejiao and Yi Mu Gao, add 4 liang of white honey, and stir until thoroughly blended. Mix this mixture with the powdered herbs to form pills, dividing the mixture into 44 pills, each weighing approximately 2 qian in dry weight.
