Drug Formulation

White pumice (soaked in vinegar overnight, then roasted over charcoal fire and dipped 7 times) 1 liang; myrrh 2 qian and a half; Sichuan aconite (washed 3 times in warm water, roasted in a cauldron over ash fire until cracked, then peel and pith removed) 1 liang; croton seeds 49 (leave skin and oil intact, remove only the inner membrane, and grind separately); selected frankincense 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Use the pumice stone that has been soaked in vinegar to make a paste, then mix with flour and let it set until cold to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Effective for back abscesses, brain abscesses, and all types of malignant sores.

Instructions for Use

Take 6 pills each time, washed down with cold wine before bedtime. If the ulcer is on the upper part of the body, take after a meal; if on the lower part, take before a meal. Whenever a malignant ulcer is observed, first take the “Qi Lao Dan” to expel toxins from the internal organs, followed by the “Duoming Dan.” If the pain from the ulcer is unbearable, take the “Frankincense Pain-Relieving Powder.”
