Drug Formulation

Qianhu (with root tip removed) 3 liang, Daqing 3 liang, Qinpi (chopped) 3 liang, Ganlan 3 liang, Huangqin (with black core removed) 3 liang, Xixin (with stems and leaves removed) 3 liang, Juemingzi 3 liang, Gardenia seeds 2 liang, Gypsum 4 liang (crushed).

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qianbi per dose. Add 1.5 zhan of water, 10 bamboo leaves, and 7 plantain leaves (finely chopped). Decoct until reduced to 8 fen, strain out the residue, add 1 qianbi of sodium carbonate, let cool to lukewarm, and take after meals or before bedtime.
