Drug Formulation

Ox Bile (ground separately) 1 fen, Cinnabar (ground and water-washed) 1 fen, Realgar (ground and water-washed) 1 fen, Raw Rhinoceros Horn (chopped into powder and finely ground) 1 fen, Gastrodia 1 fen, Stiff Silkworm (with silk and mouth removed) 1 fen, Pinellia (washed 7 times in boiling water and fermented) 1 fen,Cicada Shell (dirt removed, washed in boiling water, and roasted) 1 fen, Southern Frankincense 1 fen, Evodia Fruit (pulp only) 1 fen, Cardamom (wrapped in flour and roasted) 1.5 fen, Fragrant Ink 1.5 fen, Tiannanxing (roasted until cracked) 1 qian, White Aconite (roasted until cracked) 1 qian,talcum powder 1 qian, mercury (3 qian and a half; use 3 qian and a half of black lead to form sand-like granules) half liang, white flower snake 1 liang, black snake (meat from the thickest part behind the neck of 2 snakes) 1 liang (soaked in wine overnight, skin and bones removed, sun-dried without exposure to fire), snail shell powder 1 liang and 2 qian,Musk 1 qian (ground), Borneol half a qian (ground), Aconite root 1 piece (cracked, with skin and pith removed; use for those with deficient constitution), Centipedes (medium-sized) 2 (used raw; those with bare feet are best), Whole scorpions 30, Tianjiangworms 25 (shells removed), Large areca nuts 2, Cloves 1.5 qian,3 pieces of toad venom the size of soap nuts, 15 sheets of gold leaf, 15 sheets of silver leaf.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, adding them one by one and mixing thoroughly until uniform. Take 1 tong of soapberry (free of worms; scrape off the skin and fibrous membrane), soak it in half a jin of fine wine overnight, then squeeze gently to extract the juice and strain out the residue. Add 3 qian of naphtha, and simmer in a silver vessel over low-to-medium heat until it boils a dozen or so times; let cool. Separately, melt a small amount of honey and add it to the mixture, blending it with the other ingredients until well combined.Make the larger pills the size of a jujube and the smaller ones the size of a soapberry; coat them separately with gold or silver foil.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose, dissolved in Gold, Silver, and Peppermint Decoction. For cases with excessive salivation, dissolve the pill in Mercury Decoction. For children, adjust the dose according to size; there are no restrictions on the time of administration.
