Drug Formulation

1,300 (1,200) peach kernels (soak in hot water, remove the skin, tips, and double kernels; grind, then immediately filter through water to extract 5 sheng of concentrated juice), 3 liang of Cyperus rotundus (roasted until cracked, then coarsely chopped), and 3 liang of softshell turtle shell (coated with vinegar and roasted until slightly yellow; remove the frills).

Grind all ingredients except the peach kernels into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

First, decoct the peach kernels in a cauldron until the liquid is reduced by half; add the powdered mixture of the other two herbs, stir continuously with a wooden whisk, and simmer for a long time; then add 3 liters of good wine, simmer until it reaches the consistency of thin syrup, and store in a porcelain bottle. Take 1 teaspoon mixed with 1 medium bowl of hot wine daily on an empty stomach and before dinner.

Avoid amaranth, raw or cold foods, and wet noodles.
