Cedar Decoction,For dry beriberi, cholera, and shortness of breath with suffocation to the point of near death. For beriberi with severe distension and obstruction, a mass in the flank as large as a stone, and a state of near-death unconsciousness. For dry beriberi accompanied by headache, soreness in the lower back and legs, restlessness, thirst, and oppression, along with sweating and shortness of breath. Also treats cholera with severe shortness of breath and near-fatal suffocation.

Drug Formulation

1 dasheng of Chinese fir knots, 1 dasheng of tangerine leaves (chopped; if leaves are unavailable, substitute with the peel), 7 pieces of Areca nut (crushed), and 3 dasheng of children’s urine.

Instructions for Use

Boil all ingredients together; reduce to 1.5 dasheng, and divide into two doses. If relief is achieved after the first dose, discontinue the second dose.
