Processing

First, sprinkle a small amount of charcoal ash on the ground to form a circle the size of a bell. Next, burn about ten small pieces of charcoal, arrange them in a cluster, and blow on them to make the fire burn brightly. Immediately pour the powder onto the fire, cover it with a large, new porcelain bell, and quickly seal the gaps around the edges with ash to prevent smoke from escaping. Then, drip about ten drops of cold water onto the bottom of the bell. Wait until it cools, then lift the bell; You will see the mercury vapor clinging to the inside of the bell; immediately use a finger dipped in water to scrape it off. Wrap it in two layers of mulberry paper, then wring out the mercury to form beads the size of red beans.
