Drug Formulation

2 liang Sichuan Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 fen arsenic trioxide (finely ground), 1 liang croton seed (peeled, pitted, ground, wrapped in paper, and pressed to remove oil), 1 liang Chinese bellflower (tossed with vinegar and stir-fried until yellow), 1.5 liang apricot kernels (soaked in hot water, with skin, tips, and double kernels removed, then stir-fried with wheat bran until slightly yellow),1 qian of musk (finely ground), 1 fen of yellow丹 (stir-fried until purple), 1 liang of pig’s tooth soap pod (black skin removed, coated with butter, roasted until charred yellow, seeds removed), 1 liang of natural copper (finely ground, used separately).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix in the ground natural copper until uniform. Use black bean flour to form pills the size of mung beans, then roll them in the ground natural copper powder.
