Processing

First, take the two ingredients—Coptis and Croton—and boil them in 3 bowls of diluted whey until all the liquid has evaporated. Allow to dry, then remove the Croton, discard the skin and core, and grind it into a paste. Wrap it in paper and press to remove the oil. Dry the Coptis in the sun, then pound it together with the other ingredients and sift into a fine powder. Mix with pig bile to form pills the size of a sesame seed.
